2015 Nissan Armada Review: It Has Definitely Arrived Having Eaten

–Overview: The full-size Nissan Armada SUV is at this point so old, you’d be forgiven for thinking it earned its name for having been part of the Spanish Armada. Introduced for 2004, the big Nissan remains an iconoclastic choice in the face of the more-popular big haulers from GM and Ford and is based on the outgoing Nissan Titan truck chassis. (We expect a new Armada based on the redesigned 2016 Titan within the next year or two.) Power for this 2.5-plus-ton beast comes from a fuel-chugging 5.6-liter V-8 engine making 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque; it teams with a five-speed automatic and either rear- or four-wheel drive to deliver up to 9000 pounds of towing capacity.
