General Motors is recalling 97,000 Cadillac ATS models in the U.S. for rear defrosters that may heat a hell of a lot more than just glass.

On 2013-2016 ATS sedans and coupes, the coil antenna module that powers the rear defroster can overheat and cause the driver’s side C-pillar to catch fire. The problem, as reported by the Detroit News, is a “weak terminal” that can fail when “subjected to excessive cycling or continuous operation.” GM is aware of at least four fires but no injuries or accidents. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted the filings.

Dealers will reprogram the defroster module so that it does not automatically switch on but will not replace the modules themselves. The ATS has been recalled four other times, including for illegal sunroof switches, loose seats, faulty seat belts, and transmission cable problems.
